Motorhome

The other day I had Whitty in the car with me. I saw this absolutely beautiful diesl pusher motorhome/bus. Our conversation went like this...

Gramma-Whitty look at that beautiful motorhome
Whitty- Yah it is just like yours, grampa's and your uncle's (Kletey)
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Whitty is still getting straight on who is who. She often says your grampa or your uncle meaning her grampa/uncle. It's so adorable you don't want to correct her.

On a side note, I do want to say that has been one of out greatest investments. It is not the top of the line by far, but it has all the pleasures a person needs. And I don't feel one bit bad when the motocrossers are coming in and out in their boots, or the jet skiers bringing in water/mud. And people seem to feel very comfortable in it. Weather it's a motel at a job site, a motel at a motocross race, a motel at a jet ski race or a motel for gram and gramp to steal away.
Wish it was here now. I would hop in and go for a cruize. With Whitty and Wilson.

Be Mine

I just need you all to know that Geraldine makes the worlds best Navajo tacos. So the night before Valentines, I called and just happened to mention that if I was her valentine she would probably make Navajo tacos for me. And I would do the fixings for her. So of course being the awesome lady she is SHE DID! And I have to tell you they were as great as the first time I ever had them when the kids got married. Thank you Geraldine! It was nice spending the evening with her and the family. A little picture of our valentine celebration.

Coley's 27th

I already posted about my baby girl turning 27 but want to add the pictures. I came up with the orange and brown theme as I found her some fun summer time dishes. I had a blast making the cake. Kind of funky as Whitney would say these days. And I just have to say I love being Coley's mom.

My Valentines

I had the pleasure of sewing a dress for Whitty and a tie for Wilson.
When I took Whitty's dress over, she had a valentine card for me.
Whitty-I made this for you Gramma.
Gramma-Thank you Whitty! I made this for you.
When I handed her the dress she exclaimed "For Me!" And hugged the dress. Oh how she makes my heart sing. Even with all the issues involved sewing on that kind of fabric.
I seriously need to use a seger. And Geraldine (Coley's mom-in-law) has graciously offered for me to use hers. But I never hear people say I love my serger. I only hear ohhh the darn serger. Or wait until you need to re-thread.

Happy 50 something Sweetie!

Happy Birthday to my best half.
I am so looking forward to spending the week with you. I am honored to share your birthday with you. But I do remember thinking when we turn 21 we would be really old and now look at you... (I mean us.) We look great! lol Of course I am still long away from those 50 something years. Any way honey I want you and the whole world to know that I love you and I am grateful for all the years I have been able to celebrate your birthdays with you and look forward to many more.
All You Gotta Do is Just Give Me That Wink! And I just melt.
I love ya!

"To a Child"

Do you know who you are, little child of mine,
So precious and dear to me?
Do you know you are a part of a great design
That is vast as eternity? …
Do you know you’re a child of God?
Do you sometimes review how He took your hand and placed it within my own, saying here is a Child from angel land not a gift but a precious loan.
Do you know where you’re going, child of mine?
Are your eyes on the road ahead?
Do the spires of his castle gleam and shine
Where the sun grows golden red? … You will make it, my child, I know.
(Ora Pate Stewart, “To a Child”.)

I had the blessing of finding this poem on someones else blog and just needed to pass it along.

Coley is "27"

Happy Birthday to my little girl. Nicole I have been sitting here thinking of all your years gone by. I am so proud of the young woman you have become. You are an amazing daughter, sister, wife, friend and mother. You do so much and give so much of yourself to all of us.

I can remember your first birthday sitting up so proud in your chair eating your cake. Memories I recall, barbie cake, muppet party, my little pony party, trip to disneyland, first real bike, you were scared to ride, baby doll party, radio cake, dinner at red robin, scavenger hunt at the mall. How come I recall the older parties better then the teen ones? 5 speed explorer, multiple amounts of 21
Well you can fill me in.

I want you to know from the moment we found out you were on the way, to now you are an amazing blessing to us from Heavenly Father. I cherrish each day with you.

I had a beautiful pregnancy with you. I remember the first time feeling you move. I was reading a book about babies, it said I should be able to feel you move so I started pushing around on my tummy and sure enough there you were. I remember having my belly pushed up against dads back, you kicked and dad saying what the hect was that! The labor was exactly that! Very intense labor for many hours before they decided to take you c-section, what a thrill that was for me and dad when they said ok what will this be and I said a little girl and sure enough out you came all pink a squealing. Dad and I had tears running down our cheeks and we were so proud to hold our little girl. I know you know the joy I speak of becaue you too have had the experience.

Coley thank you for being everyting I could ever have wished for in a daughter and much much more!
I love you,
Mom

My dancers

Here is Whitty and her mom at Whitty's first recital. So this is her first year of dance. She is taking tap, her instructor is Mom, sometimes that is hard. Although she sometimes refuses to take part in class she totally knows what is being taught. It was so great to see her up on the stage doing her routine.
And just as wonderful to see Coley up there dancing too. She has such charisma when she dances you can't help but smile and really enjoy watching her.

February

How did it become the 2nd month in 2010 already? Time moves so quickly I can't beleive it.

I had a beautiful evening yesterday caring for Whitney and Wilson. Their Grandma H. came home and made us all dinner. She was telling Whitty how lucky her and her brother are, having both grandmas to care for them. And I have to second that. I am so grateful we can share them and enjoy each others company at the same time.
She went off to an evening program at work and I had the oppotunity to sit with the children while their mom and dad were off on a romantic get away. I saddly do not have a picture to post, but both of my little ones crawled up on my lap to watch a show on TV and went sound asleep. These are the best moments in my life.

They recently took a trip with Coley to Washington- Grandpa K. didn't exactly have the same experience... While he was watching a show (just knowing that a 1 and nearly 3 year old would stay out of trouble) only to find they were in the kitchen clearing out the cabinet under the sink playing in the comet. He said he couldn't beleive how much mess 2 little one can make so quick. Oh how he forgets. Can't lay in bed Gramps while the little ones are around.

On another note, I had the opportunity to take a drive this morning. What an incredible view. 6 degrees out, sun shining on the snowy fields, live stock wandering about about. Who says it's not beautiful in Wyoming.
